Week Eleven Predictions
11.11.10 - Posted By: Brett Haynes - Greenville, SC
There are just three weeks left in the Fans25.com regular season Pick'em Contest for 2010. As of right now, clloyd is in the driver's seat at 76% for the season. But he has lots of folks trailing just behind. One of those folks is me, The Top Fan, at 74%. Here are my predictions for week eleven...
Pittsburgh at Connecticut - 7:30 - ESPN - I'm going to start things off with an upset of sorts. Pittsburgh has the better record in this game, but three losses concern me. Utah beat them, and I have a totally different view of the Utes following the TCU game. Miami stomped

Oregon hung on to keep the top spot, but several other teams in the top 25 were not so lucky. Michigan State and Missouri really got spanked, opening the door for other teams to move up. Here is my top 25 as we head into the tenth week of the season...
1. Oregon (8-0) - The Ducks unleashed the offense once again, scoring 35 points in the middle part of the game on the way to the 52-35 win over USC....

Unbelievably, for the third straight week, the AP number one went down as Oklahoma lost to Missouri. But in my poll, Oregon has now been number one for two weeks, and will take that ranking again for the third straight week. Boise State and TCU are eagerly waiting for chances to show off their stuff, and Michigan State and Auburn are thinking national title. Here is my top 25 as we head into the ninth week of the season...
1. Oregon (7-0) - The Ducks steamrolled UCLA, 60-13, on national TV last Thursday. This team has it going on in all phases right now.
Week Eight Predictions

Once again, we have college football tonight! The Oregon Ducks will put their #2 ranking on the line when unpredictable UCLA comes into town....I am still in the mix for the Pick'em Contest title, but I need a big week. I have lost a bunch of games the past few weeks, and need to get back to my dominating ways of the first few weeks if I am going to be a factor. Again this week there are many games that are very tough to pick. Can Nebraska bounce back? Can LSU keep winning in odd fashion? Can Oklahoma survive as the nation's top team? Can Iowa jump back into the national picture? We will soon find out - here are my picks for week eight!

With the fall of Alabama, Oregon now takes over as number one in my top 25 poll. I have simply been more impressed with the Ducks than Ohio State so far this season. The Buckeyes check in at number two before a jumbled mess involves the next six to eight teams. Boise State and TCU remain right in the mix, though I wish I was seeing both tested more regularly. And check out the big names that are not in the top 25 at this time: Texas, Penn State, USC, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Georgia...Those are six time-tested programs that are currently working to straighten things out. Nevada is the newest BCS buster to emerge, but they too will not be tested until later in the season...Here is my top 25 for week seven:
Ten Things from Week Five
10.04.10 - Posted By: Brett Haynes and Wes Mewbourne
Our friend, Wes, had a crazy past weekend, so I thought I was filling in for him in our "Ten Things" weekly article. Turns out he wrote one himself after all, so fans, this week you get a double version! The college football world can bring bliss and heartbreak, and with that, here are ten observations from this past weekend of play...
1. Tennessee loses gut-wrencher at LSU. On a goal-line, 4th-down play with just seconds to go, LSU and Tennessee were both substituting players all over the place. After it appeared ...

Alabama solidified its number one ranking, but the Ducks of Oregon were nearly equally as impressive. Some other very good teams are in the mix, but as of right now, I would like to see the Tide play Oregon to see who is the king of the college football mountain. Here is my top 25 for week six...
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0) - Except from those folks in the Northwest, most everyone's opinion would be in agreement that the Crimson Tide are the best team in college football. They looked sharp in all phases of the game in making Florida look ...
Week Four Predictions
09.23.10 - Posted By: Brett Haynes - Greenville, SC
Well, here we go, another forecasting of the impossible to forecast. It's like predicting the weather - even more difficult. In the three years of the Pick'em Contest, a picker picking a perfect 15-0 record does not come to mind. It may have happened, I honestly can't remember. What I do know is that I have not scored a perfect weekend yet. But I do find myself in first place after three weeks in this year's version, and I look to keep that standing or pull my hair out trying. Here are my predictions for week four...
