It's official. Even though they tied with the worst record that year with Denver, it's reported now that they (Cavs) lost on purpose.

Then, Head Coach John Lucas says he was forced to lose games, which was disputed by the former majority, now minority owner Mr. Gund.

He defends the trades as saying that Andre Miller wanted a max contract, and that the other players weren't living up to the previous season.

Ricky Davis even said they forced coach John Lucas II to lose and after going 8-34, he was fired.

I don't know how many Cavs fans there are on this site, but I'm sure we'll hear it. Now what if LeBron leaves this next season....was it all for nothing?

Well, It sucks that Head Coach John Lucas was forced to lose games to get just one player if what is being said true. By far, I for one cannot stand Lebron but look what Lebron has done for the Cavs each season playing with this team. I think if Lebron does leave (the cavs losing just to get him) will still be for something because look at how the record of this team has been since he joined Cavs. In addition, look at the people that got to work with Lebron (I am sure he taught some of those players tricks and gave tips on basketball plays) and I am sure helped build confidence throughout his time with them. I do however think that if Lebron leaves this team will struggle to get their groove back a bit. However, they will still be ok and can find another talented Player.

Well they can be in a race for the John Wall sweepstakes if LeBron leaves, because they essentially have to start all over. I don't think he is leaving personally, but he just may.

Not signing the contract before the end of the season is too diva-ish. He needs to get it over with for real.

You are right! Lebron is kind of acting diva-ish; He is going to wait this whole thing out before signing the contract. I am not sure why he wants to make everyone on his team and the fans sweat about what he will do. I say Lebron just needs to sign the dang contract if he is going to stay or let them know if he is ready to move on. If he does, leave Cavs, yes they will start over but heck that just opens up the salary cap to go after some old talent or new upcoming talent. I say he is leaving if the Cavs don't win a championship . That man is ready for a ring!!

how can you not like lebron james he is a great athlete has a great personality and has never been in trouble unlike kobe who committed adultery. but either way i dont care if they on purpose but either way doesnt the nba have a lottery that means they just lost for a chance at the first pick because the team with the most lottery balls doesnt always win the lottery and single if he leaves this year they probably wont have a chance at john wall because he will be in this years draft and will be the number one pick which the cavs wont have.

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!

What does kobe who committed adultery have to do with this ? adultery is not right by far but we dont know what went on in his marriage ,Kobe should of just stayed single , As far as Lebron go he seems like a good guy but he is not perfect who knows maybe he messed up but never got caught. I dont like Lebron as a player thats all! He get away with a lot during games, People baby him like he is a god, big ego, and as Sdb said which I agree with he acts diva-ish

Cody.... dg got you on that 1. I was going to say the same thing. He is with his H.S. sweetheart, but they are not married, so maybe he has...but then again, maybe he hasn't.

I just know that it's cool to play the wait and see game, but Cleveland has shown him that they are committed to winning a title there. They probably won't win a title with the new look Spurs, and other teams getting better, but if they do...it will be a 1 and done.

I just believe that if you are going to sign, just sign. You are going to have to sign with someone eventually, and then it will be old news. Get it over with LeBron.

Nuggets????????????? They have no real leadership, so it's like they are eventually going to lose, just don't know if it's in the 1st round, or the 2nd.

Nuggets do to have leadership and I hardly think they will be out by first or second round. However with that being said I do not think they will win  a ring.

Not in Carmelo's time there. I thought you were a Pistons' fan? Maybe you were just a Chauncey fan, but no the Nuggets don't have any real leadership.....sorry to put it to you like that, but they just don't.

Just my 2 cents worth, which is not worth more than anybody else's, I think the Nuggests have some of the best leadership in the league.  Thats coming from someone that is tired of watching my team get beat up on by the Nuggets all the time.

Chauncey Billups led the Pistons to 6 straight Conference Championships in Detroit.  Thats an amazing accomplishment.  Then he went to Denver, where they couldn't even get out of the 1st round of the playoffs before he got there. He took them to the Western Conference Championship Series.  Also, Carmelo was co-captain of the Redeem Team, which means he was put in charge of all those rabid egos to bring the gold medal back to the USA in the Olympics.  I know that sounds like an easy thing to do, but there was a part of the 2000's decade where USA basketball was not looking too good in international events, coming home with bronze medals instead of gold.

Just my opinion.  I do believe there is something Denver is missing, but I don't think leadership is one of them.

Thank you CS !!!! SDB I am and always will be a fan of the Pistons. However, with that being said I am also a fan of Chauncey Billups. I respect him as a player of the game and he was a Piston for a lot of years and will always be a Piston to the fans in Detroit . If Pistons are out the next team I will cheer for is the Nuggets because I love Chauncey!

like CS said ,Chauncey was the reason  for 6 straight Conference Championships in detroit because he was the heart and soul of my team. He pushed the Pistons to strive for the wins and had to be strong enough to stand up to some of the players with hot heads like Rasheed Wallace and Ben to keep them focused on the game . Without Billups Our team would of collapsed . Look how poorly we are playing since we lost Billups(because we have no leadership anymore).

If you actually watched the Nuggets play you could see how the team works well together and see the leadership roles on the court. Billups brings that with him to every team he has ever played for. Like I said they will not be out in the 1st or second round but will have a hard time getting the ring because like CS said they are missing  something but just not sure what it is. However LEADERSHIP!!!! is not one of them.
