The very first weekend of the season we saw LSU play Oregon in a dome. We may see that again in the last week. With the Ducks 23-point trouncing of Stanford to move back into the top five, Oregon has put itself right back in the national championship talks. Oklahoma State remains the last unbeaten challenger to LSU (putting 66 on Texas Tech) as #5 Boise State fell to TCU at home...

The only problem for Duck nation, though, is I don't see Oklahoma State losing anytime soon - including against Oklahoma. Those guys can flat-out play, as demonstrated in their 66-6 win on the road at Texas Tech. In my eyes, I see a matchup of LSU vs. Oklahoma State for all the marbles, January 9th.

But Oregon has put itself in position to pounce if for some reason the Cowbuys are to slip. Between Alabma and Oregon to see who would get a rematch with LSU, it would be too tough to call at this point.

Stanford QB Andrew Luck and Boise State QB Kellen Moore had their Heisman hopes take serious hits with losses. They both played well in defeat with Moore going 28 of 38 for 320 yards and 2 TDs. Luck was 27 of 41 for 271 yards and 3 TDs, but had 2 picks.

Boise State was in the picture until TCU came visiting and left with a win. The Horned Frogs and Broncos played a classic, with BSU missing a kick at then end that would have won it.

In State College, Nebraska beat Penn State, bringing a fitting end to the worst week in that school's history.

And in Clemson, SC, the Tigers wrapped up a spot in the ACC Championship Game by defeating Wake Forest on a 43-yard field goal as time expired.
